We have reached the lofty 350+ likes on Facebook. Thank you to all of you who have helped us get this far. We have had such a great response from you and we hope that this is just the first best foot forward on our voyage. Glad to have all of our customers with us.

Bloom Bakery

Along with our normal croissants, we have setup a delivery schedule with Bloom to bring us fresh scones and cookies that are knock-your-socks-off tasty. We will still have the wonderful croissants from the baker around the corner in almond, apricot and ham and cheese. Some of the new selections we offer are:

  • Green Tea Frosted Sugar Cookies
  • Brown Butter Coconut Cookies
  • Brownies
  • Pumpkin Bread
  • Coffee Cake Scones
  • Maple Bacon Scones

We hope you come on in and give every one of them a try. Tonja likes the Coconut cookies, while Mike's favorite is the Coffee Cake scone, but he'll try to leave enough for everyone (no promises).

Signature Drink Contest

We would love some suggestions for lattes and fizzes to add to the menu, so we are starting a contest to create some new flavors that we can add to the menu. Additionally, to celebrate the Fair Oaks community in which we have set up shop, we'd like to create a signature drink named the Fair Oaks Fog (this will be a latte of some sort).

Some rules and guidelines for the competition:

  1. Come up with a combination of tea, some sort of flavoring, and either fizz or milk. If you are starting with a flavored tea, the additional flavoring can be optional.
  2. Order it and try it BEFORE you submit it with or without a name attached (some combinations that may SOUND good, don't always TASTE good and you will be our first guinea pig!)

The initial suggestion period will end September 27th; then, a voting period will start where you will be able to vote on the suggestions.

Chandelier Saga

You might think that this ongoing saga was never going to have a happy ending. We were patient and now have the correct chandelier and it is in great shape. Once we put all the little dangly bits on it and install it in place of the current fixture, it will really add a nice touch of beauty to the place. We are so looking forward to having it up by Monday to be ready for next week.
